Three things make our Chennai interior design service different from the 200+ designers and decorators in the city. One: written materials record. Every project closes with materials record listing each hardware brand (Hettich, Hafele, Blum), the plywood grade (IS:710 marine BWP), and the install date. The same contract carries the itemised scope and price you approved. Most Chennai vendors give verbal assurances only — that's worthless when you actually need to claim.

Two: transparent quote in 48 hours. After your free site visit, we send an itemised 3D design concept and transparent quote within 48 hours — that's the price you pay. No surprise additions, no 'oh, that wasn't included' conversations during install. The quote is valid for 30 days and includes brand specs so you can compare apples-to-apples against any competitor.

Three: senior designer + project manager + in-house carpentry crew. No middlemen, no commission, no subcontracted teams who disappear after a week. The same crew that started your project finishes it. Designer visits weekly during execution; project manager handles society paperwork, material delivery, neighbour coordination.

Plywood: IS:710 marine BWP for anything that meets water. Kitchen base units, the wash-area vanity and wardrobe bottoms are built in boiling-water-proof marine ply, not MR-grade commercial ply. MR ply is cheaper and perfectly fine for a bedroom loft in a dry city — in a Chennai kitchen it swells at the joints, and you see it as shutters that stop closing flush. We list the grade against every unit in your quote so you can check it.

Hardware: Hettich, Häfele or Blum, with the retailer invoice handed to you. Hinges, drawer channels and soft-close mechanisms carry the manufacturer's own warranty, which is only claimable if you hold the invoice — so we hand those over at handover instead of keeping them. Unbranded "imported" hardware is the single most common hidden downgrade in a low Chennai quote.

Surfaces: laminate, acrylic or membrane, chosen for the room. High-gloss acrylic looks superb on a kitchen island and shows every fingerprint in a child's bedroom. We specify the exact laminate or acrylic code in the quote — a "premium finish" line with no code attached is where quotes quietly get downgraded between signing and installation.

Counters and coastal detailing. Quartz resists staining better than most granite for Indian cooking; granite is the value pick. For ECR, OMR and Thiruvanmiyur homes we specify stainless fittings and marine ply more aggressively, because salt air corrodes ordinary fittings noticeably faster than it does in Anna Nagar or Ambattur.
